Rihanna performing at the 2010 MTV Europe Music Awards Rihanna still had something to celebrate at the MTV European Music Awards after learning her new single had climbed to No.1 in the UK singles chart.Rihanna performed the upbeat track Only Girl (In the World) at the the glitzy bash in Madrid, wearing a fairytale inspired costume - which she almost busted out of at one point - complete with crown and wand.Rihanna performed on a fairytale set, complete with flowers, smoke and a sunset backdrop.

Stealing the show: Rihanna looked dangerously close to losing her top as performed at the MTV European Music Awards after learning her new single Only Girl (In The World) had hit No.1 in the UK charts.Her chart success saw Cheryl Cole's No.1 single Promise This slip a place - however the X Factor judge's new album Messy Little Raindrops did hit the top spot.
Rihanna's friend Katy Perry also went head to head with the unstoppable Gaga in several categories - but came off the worse after winning just one trophy for Best Video, California Gurls.Gaga, who was unable to attend as she was performing in Budapest, collected awards in the categories Best Pop, Best Female and Best Song (Bad Romance).

Katy Perry celebrated her upcoming wedding to funny man Russell Brand with a fun bachelorette party at the Hard Rock Hotel Beach Club pool,& Casino in Las Vegas featuring strippers and circus performers.Katy seemed all smiles with her girls in “typical risqué bachelorette-themed party items,” ordering food and drinks.For the next portion of the night Katy, 25, and company headed to AGO for a nice dinner and according to an onlooker the, “group enjoyed good food and company, getting up and taking photos throughout the meal.”
Wrapping up some of Katy’s last single moments, an “erotic” cake was brought up to the California Gurl’s room at the end of the night.
Katy Perry is set to tie the knot with British funnyman Russell Brand later this year in Dec. 2009.. The "Teenage Dream" singer and the "Get Him to the Greek" actor, who was known for his womanizing way, have been dating after they met at 2009 MTV Video Music Awards' after party back in September 2009.
